I hate layering makeup on in the summer. Let's face it - it's just going to melt off as soon as you walk outside, which is why I prefer a lighter, more natural look that will stand the heat.
Primer:
I'm not a big primer person, but every now and then I will use the Youthforia Pregame Primer or Tula Filter
Foundation:
If I'm going for a more natural, glowy look then I love the IT Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum with SPF 40. However, if I am looking for more coverage then I go with my Clinique Even Better with SPF 15
Brightener / Concealer:
To make the are around my eyes pop and appear brighter, I use the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Hydrating Concealer in shade 160, "Brightener." This shade is a light pink color and really brightens up your skin!
Bronzer / Contour:
I'm currently loving a few different bronzers, but they all give off a creamy, natural glow.
Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer *powder
Physicians Formula Murmuru Butter Bronzer *powder
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand *cream
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Hydrating Concealer in whatever shade matches the above bronzers *yes, I know this is a concealer but trust me. *cream
*Tip: Apply a cream bronzer then set it with a powder bronzer.
Blush:
Like my bronzers, I'm currently playing around with a few different blushes.
Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush *powder
Youthforia BYO Blush *liquid. This blush is unlike any other - it comes in one color but changes based on your skin's PH Balance for the blush that best suits your skin tone!
Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick
*Tip: Apply a cream blush then set it with a powder blush.
Highlight:
If I'm going for a more golden look, then the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Spotlight is my go-to. However, sometimes I like to switch it up and add a pink-ish hue with the Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick in Pink Flash
Eyes:
This part is super easy!
Entire lid: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Hydrating Concealer in shade 160, "Brightener."
Outer Corner: Whichever bronzer I used that day + whichever blush I used that day. This creates a really natural, seamless "been sitting in the sun all day" look that blends well with the rest of your face makeup
Inner corner and just below the brow: Whichever highlighter I used that day
For eyeliner: I take a dark brown eyeshadow with a skinny eyeshadow brush and sweep it across my eye, just above my upper lashes and along my lower lash line.
Mascara: If you're looking for an amazing drugstore mascara, go for the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara. However, if you're looking to splurge a bit then you can't go wrong with the Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara *bonus: for every purchase made, they donate to communities in need.
And there you go! The ultimate dewy, sunkissed summer look that will have you radiating all day long.
